Chris Johnson, RB, Titans
A game that was hyped as V.Y.'s return quickly turned into the C.J. show -- with the emphasis on "quickly." The second-year blur who ran the fastest 40-yard dash in NFL Combine history (4.24) had 24 carries for a Titans-Oilers franchise record 228 yards and two trips to the end zone -- covering 52 and 89 yards, respectively -- as Tennessee defeated Jacksonville, 30-13, for the team's first win of the season. The league's leading rusher, Johnson has 119 carries for 824 yards (6.9 ypc) and four touchdowns in seven games this season.
Ted Ginn, WR, Dolphins
After an early season case of butter-fingers, Ginn was benched in favor of rookie receiver Brian Hartline against the Jets. So, an understandably frustrated Ginn took his anger out on the New York kick coverage unit. The track star in pads took two kicks to the house, with 100- and 101-yard touchdown returns in the third quarter, becoming the first player since the NFL-AFL merger with two kick return scores in the same quarter. In the end, Ginn was the difference in a 30-25 Dolphins win despite not catching a single pass against the Jets.
Donovan McNabb, QB, Eagles
The veteran signal-caller was in McMVP form during a 40-17 blowout win over the Giants. McNabb completed 17-of-23 passes for 240 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions. Spreading the wealth, McNabb's three scoring strikes went to three different receivers -- with tight end Brent Celek catching a 17-yarder, lightning bolt DeSean Jackson scoring on a 54-yard bomb and rookie Jeremy Maclin taking a 23-yard pass to paydirt. The Eagles are now 2-0 in the NFC East with the rival Cowboys coming to town this week.
